Plečnik House Wins Best of 2025 Award
Last night, at the Best of 2025 awards ceremony, organised for the 14th consecutive year by the media company The Slovenia alongside the international In Your Pocket City Guides, Plečnik House received an award for the Best Unique Museum in Slovenia.
After more than a decade of selecting the best of Ljubljana, voting for the ‘Best of’ was expanded this year as the organisers now also included the best experiences from all over Slovenia. Voters were able to select among 500 selected locations and experiences across six categories and 49 subcategories, covering everything from culture, tourism, and shopping, to gastronomy and best orators.
Within the ‘Best of Culture’ category and the ‘Best Unique Museum’ subcategory, Plečnik House received the most votes from a record-breaking 85,766 voters.
“The Plečnik House is a vivid and vibrant museum, which presents the incredible heritage of the greatest Slovenian architect of the first half of the 20th century. A dedicated team works daily to create a diverse programme and a unique experience, which our visitors experience when they visit the house. This makes the 'Best of' award an exceptional recognition for us! We are delighted that our visitors and online voters presented us with so much trust in our work. This will serve as an encouragement to work even harder,” said Ana Porok, curator of the Plečnik House.
